Fred Wilson & Associates, Inc. to provide engineering
design services for University Blvd.

Jacksonville, FL – Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 2 has selected Fred Wilson & Associates, Inc. (FW&A) to provide engineering design services for milling and resurfacing SR 109/University Blvd. from the west side of the I-95 interchange to the north side of the SR 212/Beach Blvd. intersection in Duval County. Work on the contract began this month.  FW&A has provided engineering design services for the FDOT since its inception in 1962.

The contract was awarded to FW&A under the FDOT Business Development Initiative (BDI), which allows only small businesses to perform the work. Local firms Waitz & Moye, Inc. and Ghiotto & Associates, Inc. will assist in providing signalization design services and surveying services, respectively.  Both subconsultant firms are Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), and all three firms are small businesses.
