FW&A has recently been awarded contracts for the City of Ocala and the Utilities Commission of New Smyrna Beach.

Jacksonville, FL – Fred Wilson & Associates, Inc. has been awarded a continuing contract to provide professional electric design and engineering services for the City of Ocala. The term of the contract is three years, with two additional one-year options. The first task under this contract is construction support of a recently completed 230kV transmission line relocation.

 Additionally, FW&A was awarded a contract under Aerial Cartographics of America, Inc. (ACA) to provide facility rating services (LiDAR evaluations) for Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) members (Lakeland, Keys Energy, New Smyrna Beach and Lake Worth). The Lakeland and Keys Energy projects have already been completed, and the New Smyrna Beach project is now underway.

Under a four-year continuing services contract, FW&A is performing design services for an underwater cable crossing for the Utilities Commission of New Smyrna Beach. The project involves horizontal directional drilling underneath the Intracoastal Waterway, and design is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.
